A little background on Adele Simpson:
Adele Simpson was an important player in the post war fashion movement. She took French Couture and gave it an americanized flair. She was extremely popular from the 1940's to the 1970's. Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Barbara Bush wore her designs. Simpson sold her collections at Bonwit Teller, B. Altman and Saks Fifth Avenue. Adele Simpson died in 1995 at the age of 91.
